One from a recent series of box and object works, painted in egg tempera and gouache onto a cigar box, found in Concord, MA last year. In line with David’s series Light on Water, the piece abstractly depicts a cropped sea surface, without sky. Completed in June 2024, the box measures 27.5 x 14 x 8cm.
